My Heart Leaped

When I first heard of this “Community Village” especially since it is headed by both our beloved teachers, I was thrilled and my heart leaped. I don’t know why, but I was excited and still am. This time the mind got into some wholesome thoughts. How would the Community Village benefit me and others by and large? How can I contribute? These were the two questions that arose in my thoughts. My mind proliferates into more wholesome thoughts with an understanding of the purpose of a community village.

Though I’ve only joined Wise Foundation for two years, I’m very blessed with the teachers, leaders, and members sharing and guidance. Before joining Wise Foundation courses I had so many mind-boggling questions and feelings of uncertainty in my daily living. Now, I’m more composed and looking forward to my day-to-day transformation with the knowledge of the 3MJs (3 Meditator's Jobs) at my fingertips. I’m fully convinced and aware that I can’t live a day without practicing mindfulness.

Therefore, I could see the necessity to build a community village for those of us who are committed to walking on this path. In my opinion, we, being like-minded, need an abode; a community village where we can come together. Belonging to a supportive community has every supporting and positive impact on a practitioner’s mental and physical health in good times and adversity.

I’m glad that in my last lap in this lifetime, I can contribute not only to benefit myself but others who are also walking on this same path. Without a second thought, I pledged and am also a willing volunteer when the need arises.

With joy,
Irene Cassandra Lee
